INKspired Blog Hop #INK012

Way to Go! - You Did It!

The past two weeks have just flown by and it's time for another INKspired Blog Hop!  If you have just come from Kabrina's blog you're in the right spot.

This time, my card is for my ULTRA-AMAZING hubby, Jeremy, whose laser focus on building our Leadership training business has taken it from scratch to success.

It is truly amazing what happens when you have focus, determination and commitment to succeed in an area you are passionate about - one that really lights your inner fire!

Please check out our website Rapport Leadership if you are interested in building your own leadership skills or developing them in others around you.

This round's sketch was easy to work with. Thanks Teneale :)

It was just the colour scheme that had me scratching my head.

It's always more difficult for me to come up with masculine colour schemes, but I think this one a goer!  Two of my faves Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango combined with neutral Basic Gray.

Here's my card ...

Next stop on the blog hop is Louise, who is herself a great leader. She always leads by example and with great enthusiasm and warmth.  I just love being part of her Stampin' Up! team.

Thanks for hopping by, see you again soon.

INKSPIRED ARTISTS BLOG HOP #INK011 - REGARDING DAHLIAS

Hello! If you have just hopped here from Kabrina, you are in the right spot :) Welcome to another INKspired Blog Hop and thanks for stopping by.

I hope you're enjoying everyone's offerings for the sketch which is pictured below ...

It's a great sketch that uses one of my favourites, the Label Collection framelits.

I originally thought I would do an ocean scene, as if looking out of a porthole, but you know when you just can't seem to make a card look like you have imagined it - well I was having one of those days ... so I reverted to a floral theme.

And my Regarding Dahlias stamp set was just calling out to me, "Use me, use me!!" So I did :)

Here's my offering for this sketch ...

I really love the Regarding Dahlias stamp set and I think it pairs beautifully with the feathery striped paper in Basic Gray from the Confetti Celebration DSP set.  Mix in some Soft Sky ink and card stock and you've got yourself a cool colour scheme that's feminine and elegant, don't you think?

I added the expressly elegant Whisper White Organza Ribbon for another touch of class, some Soft Sky candy dots to balance it all out and voila, the card was ready for gifting to someone special.

I decided to omit a sentiment on this occasion as I felt the card was beautifully balanced as is. Maybe you don't agree ... I'd love to hear your thoughts, so please leave me a comment.

Next stop on the blog hop is the super talented and lovely Louise. I can't wait to see what she has done with this sketch!

Bye for now, hope to see you again next fortnight.

Lissa x

INKspired Artists Blog Hop #INK010, Cycle Celebration & Sweet Taffy DSP

Hi there! Welcome to another INKspired blog hop. I hope you've had a wonderful start to the year.  It's nearly the end of January already! Can you believe it??!!

You may have arrived here after checking out the card created by my lovely friend Lisa who has come up with a great design yet again. I hope you will hop all the way around the blog hop and admire everyone's creations.

There hasn't been much stamping going on in my house lately, what with holidays abroad and my three boys still home on school holidays, so I was happy to have reason to get card-making again for this blog hop.

And .... it's my youngest child's 7th birthday soon, so I used this upcoming event as inspiration for the theme of my card. Josh is such a bright, happy boy and I knew I wanted to make a card to match.  Do you think he will like his birthday card? I hope so!

Below is the sketch we had to work with this week:

And here is my take on the sketch:

I think this card is fun because of it's bright colours and striking patterns.  I have used Stampin' Up!s Cycle Celebration stamp set, which is an oldie but a goodie. In fact, it's a stamp set I purchased in my very fist order after signing up as a demonstrator. Memorable Moments, another great Stampin' Up! stamp set, also makes an appearance along with the really fun Sweet Taffy DSP. I think they all work really well together.

Now I know your'e thinking, "Lissa, where's the star?" but Teneale assured us the star could be anything we liked, so I used a square with candles stamped on it and the birthday sentiment mounted on top.

Next stop on the blog hop is the luscious Louise, who you all know is an incredibly talented paper crafter.  Bye for now, and I hope you'll hop by again next fortnight :)

Below is a list of Stampin' Up! products that I used to create me card. You can visit my online shop to purchase these and other products.

See you next time :)

INKspired Artists Blog Hop #INK007 - You Make the World a Better Place

INKspired Artists Blog Hop #INK007
You Make the World a Better Place, Starburst Sayings

Welcome to another INKspired blog hop.  So glad you could hop by! You may have arrived from the very lovely Janelle who has designed yet another gorgeous card. I hope you can hop all the way around the blog hop and see everyone's offerings.

The sketch we had to work with this time is very user-friendly and one which I know I'll come back to again and again ...

Whilst planning my card, I was tossing up between a floral theme and using the Starburst Sayings stamp and framelit set.  I have been eyeing off this super set in the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue for over 6 months now and purchased it only recently to make a special birthday card for my sweet son Matthew (Happy 11th Birthday Mattie xx). I'm a bit of a floral fanatic, so I thought I would move out of my comfort zone. I have to say that I'm pretty chuffed with the result ...

I like this card because it's simple to make with clean lines and an elegant, not too feminine feel about it. I think this card would be happily received by men and women alike, don't you?

Next stop on the blog hop is the amazingly talented Louise, I can't wait to see what she has come up with!

See you next time :)

INKspired Artists Blog Hop #INK006

Hi there and welcome to our 6th blog hop.  Hope you're loving seeing all the gorgeous cards created by our talented artists as much as I am

You may have just "hopped" here from my wonderful friend Lisashe always crafts beautiful projects, doesn't she?

Be sure to hop all the way around and see everyone's creations.  Perhaps you will leave us a comment - we always love hearing what you think about our cards.

Here's the sketch we had to work with this time:

I've got to say that it took me a few attempts at playing around with the proportions of the elements for this sketch before I was happy with the end result ... but I think I got there in the end??!!

The one thing I knew straight away was the stamp set I wanted to use for the star element. I am soooooooo in love with Stampin' Up!s Bright & Beautiful stamp set. It's definitely a stand out in the Holiday Catalogue -  for me anyway!  I am also a sucker for gold and white as a go-to colour scheme, and as I think the Bright & Beautiful stamp set looks **amazing** embossed, I was almost halfway there in the creative decision-making process!

So here is what I have come up with for this blog hop challenge. Do you like the gorgeous grunge shooting star trail, it was my hubby's great idea! Yes - he has one occasionally, lol :)

Next stop on the blog hop express is the lovely and incredibly talented Louise, with her take on this week's sketch.

Thanks for hopping here, I hope you stop by again next time

Happy Birthday Susan!

A special sister-in-law deserves a special birthday card, right? My sister-in-law, Susan, is a very classy lady, so I thought this combination might tickle her fancy.

I'm really loving Stampin' Up!s Cherry Cobbler at the moment. It's a very elegant colour, don't you agree? Hope she likes her card :)
